Citizens Fire Academy Alumni Association

Our Mission Statement

To bring together graduates of the City of San Marcos, Texas Citizens Fire Academy program to interact with the City of San Marcos, Texas Fire Department (SMFD) in promoting public education and awareness in the fire and life safety.

Meetings are held once a quarter, usually the second Thursday of each month.


SMOKE DETECTOR

SMFD would like to thank the Citizens Fire Academy Alumni Association for donating 60 smoke detectors on Friday, November 15, 2019. 

Did you know that San Marcos residents can get free smoke detectors and installation through the Fire Department?  Call the Smoke Detector Hotline at 512-393-8484; to schedule this free service if you live within the City Limits. Let's get a smoke detector in every home!

Backpacks Donated to SMFD Summer Camp Program

The San Marcos Citizens Fire Academy Alumni Association donated custom made backpacks for the departments Junior Fire Academy Summer Camp in June 2018. The drawstring backpacks held fire prevention material and supplies for the campers that participated in the week long day camp. The fire department had two sessions in the month of June that were filled to capacity with happy children.
