Become a Foster
Thinking about joining our foster family? Fostering pets directly improves well-being and saves lives. Foster homes are an invaluable resource for pets with medical needs, behavioral needs, bottle babies, and those who just need a break from the shelter environment.

Become a Volunteer
The San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter relies on volunteers to assist with many of the programs that the shelter participates in, and to assist with everyday duties at the shelter.

We have many members of the community that want to help the shelter. Although we are publicly funded, we do have limited resources. Find ways to donate items, finances, and volunteer.
