The City of San Marcos offers various ways for citizens to attend public meetings and offer comments online and in person.
Participation Rules
- Members of the public will be granted three minutes to present their position on issues.
- All persons in attendance are expected to display civility and decorum that is respectful to other persons, without the use of insulting, profane, threatening, or abusive language. Public comment will not be used for personal attacks. Please review the Rules of Decorum.
Sign Up for Citizen Comments, Public Hearings, & Question and Answers for Regular Meetings
- Citizens Wishing to speak in person or virtually will need to contact planninginfo@sanmarcostx.gov or call 512.393.8230 by 12 p.m. on the meeting day.
- A zoom link will be provided for the virtual meeting
- Please login remotely or in-person by 6 p.m. if speaking during the regular meeting.
- Citizens may show up in person for Public Hearings with no signup.
- Citizens will be allowed to speak with a three-minute time limit.
- Written comments sent in by 12 p.m. on the meeting day will be submitted to the Planning and Zoning Commissioners.
- Written comments can be submitted to planninginfo@sanmarcostx.gov.
- Please indicate which agenda item you will be speaking for or against.
