Fall Ball for All

Occurs annually in September. The Fall Ball for All provides a fun and safe evening for the who family to enjoy. The event features dancing, crafts, snacks music, a photo op and more! Check our calendar below for more information.

Snakefessst!

Occurs annually in September. Learn about and interact with the snakes that call our area home, participate in hourly herp walks to see snakes in their natural habitat, and attend lectures to learn about snakes, snake safety and more. There will be snake-themed music, art installations, photo ops, activities and crafts for all ages. Local organizations will have educational booths and displays. Donuts, Dinos & Dads

Occurs annually in October. Children and their father or father-figures are invited to join us for a fun-filled day featuring games, crafts, snacks, music and more! Check our calendar below for more information.

Monarch Fest & Fall Native Plant Sale

Occurs annually in October. Choose from a wide variety of native and adapted plants, including: perennials, grasses, shrubs, trees, and organic vegetables and herbs. Learn about migrating species of birds and insects, including the Monarch butterfly and what San Marcos is doing to help pollinators. Knowledgeable staff will be available at the San Marcos Discovery Center to assist with plant and pollinator questions. Farmer Fred's Harvest Fall Carnival

Occurs annually the Friday before Halloween. Farmer Fred invites all of his friends out to City Park for this community Carnival. The event features free games, a haunted hayride, concessions, a costume contest, and more! Check our calendar below for more information.

Bowl-O-Rama Mama

Occurs annually in November. Children and their mothers or mother-figures are invited to join us at Sunset Bowling Lanes for a night of bowling fun. The event will feature two games of bowling, a photo booth, concessions and a treat bag. Check our calendar below for more information.

Community Tree Giveaway

Occurs annually in November. Select from native shade and ornamental trees, 3-5 gallon. Limit 2 FREE trees per household, first come-first served, while supplies last. Volunteers will be on-site to help you find the right tree for your yard. This program only applies to residents within the San Marcos City limits. Check our calendar below for more information.

Veterans Day Parade

Occurs annually the Saturday before Veterans Day. The City of San Marcos, with assistance from the Veterans Affairs Advisory Committee, hosts a month of service opportunities as well as the traditional Veterans Day Parade in downtown San Marcos for the community to honor all who have served. Dances for Adults with Disabilities

Dances for Adults with Disabilities takes place six times each year with changing themes. Participants enjoy DJ music, dancing, door prizes and new friends. Our fall events take place in October and November. Check our calendar below for more information.
